You know, I hate to admit it, but I miss the fellow. Odum, that is, the guy who is trying like hell to make Green Mountain Daily into something special. And if he’d just do away with his propensity to censor, he’d probably get there. We shall see….
The word amongst my contacts is that Odum will be making an announcement really, really soon about his slow come back. He’s had the necessary talks with his employer at the Vermont Natural Resources Council (read: Elizabeth Courtney, the group’s executive director). And, while old Elizabeth has fouled this up like she’s fouled up most every staff or inter-personal encounter, she’s apparently going to give Odum enough rope to begin his blogging again.
If you’ll recall, I knew this was how it was going to transpire. Odum was being Odum: Dramatic. The poor guy is a bit in over his head over there. He’s a damn good techie but his editorial and censorial skills are more than a bit lacking.
And so, dear Odum, we welcome you back. But, better yet, we look forward to the sparring. Remember, it’s all in good fun, my friend. Together, we’re making Vermont better. Sort of.
